The Lassallestraße 1 and 5 properties were designed by architect Wilhelm Holzbauer and built between 1991 and 1994. After completion, Lassallestraße 1 was the headquarters of IBM Austria. In 1994 and 2003 respectively, the buildings were then taken over by Bank Austria and have since been used by the Bank Austria Group as part of its corporate headquarters.
With the construction of the new Bank Austria headquarters at the Nordbahnhof site, UniCredit Group decided to sell the properties. After an international and multi-stage tender process, IMFARR was awarded the contract in April 2018.
IMFARR sold the buildings to international investors in 2020.
